Full Moon Chapter Thirteen (Part 1)

The clock shows 2:41 a.m. Staring emptily towards the curtains, with its drapes dropped down to the floor. He could hear the wind whistling outside the window. He grabs his thick blanket and starts to pull over his head, slowly closing his eyes. Soon, he dozed off..

***

Wind blowing, birds chirping.

He opened his eyes. All he sees was clear blue skies with spring birds flying every where. He slowly looked around for signs of any human. Nothing, he thought to himself.

He placed his hands on the soft grass surface. Wow! The grass is so soft. He thought to himself. He quickly shoved himself up and starts walking. Wind blowing through his thick black hair, the scent of Rosemarie and Thymes filled his nostrils. He kept walking into the distance, without knowing where he would end up. He walk and walk and walk.

In the mere distance ahead of him, a small cottage, in the middle of the green, green field filled with a lot of Rosemarie. He walked through the Rosemarie field and slowly approached the cottage with no hesitation.

Finally he stopped, inches away from the thick wooden door. He looked up, eyes on the chimney. Smokes are coming out of the chimney. “Must be someone living here.” Moon said to himself. He continued walking towards the wooden door. There is no door knob on the wooden door. He gave a little thump on the door. Thump Thump Thump. A girl’s voice, as familiar as it is, shouted “I’m coming. Hold on a minute.” The voice fainted behind the hurried footsteps inside the cottage.

Moon waited in front of the door. Finally, the door opens and reveals a girl. A girl with soft, fair skin, wearing a simple jeans and a white shirt, overlapped with an apron. Fairer than ever, her eyes, a shade of green, her long, waist length hair was a dark shade of green. It’s her! The girl Moon had dreams about. The girl who talked to him in the cemetery. It’s her! “It’s you!” Moon shouted. The girl didn’t say anything but just spread a smile. A smile so beautiful, that Moon melts every time she smiled. “Well, come on in, you wouldn’t want to stuck outside, with the sun out and all.” said the girl. She turned around and walk towards the kitchen. Without hesitation, Moon walked in the little cottage and closes the door behind him.

Full Moon Chapter Twelve (Part 2)

“I can’t do this!” shouted Giselle, slamming on the study table.

“But you have to; it’s the only choice you could make. If you could just..”

“I won’t allow this to happen, Rupert. He’s my son, both of them are my son.” Giselle interrupted.

Giselle start to walks towards the window where she could look out at the dark clouds that are formed all over the skies.

“Giselle, I understand how you feel but the stitches, it wouldn’t last him for 10 years. The impact from the attack hit him hard. Moon has the abilities to heal a dead person. You know it. ” Dr. Ovitz tapped on Giselle’s shoulder.

Giselle did not glance back. She just stared blankly at the dark skies, hoping for the sun to come out. “I’m not a good mother, Rupert. I never was.” She said slowly. “I know what you want to say, Giselle, but you can’t blame yourself. This incident… it isn’t your fault.” Dr. Ovitz guided Giselle to an armchair near the tall shelves of books.

Dr. Ovitz took a glance to a book entitled Memoirs. He scrolled down to see the author’s name. There it is, printed in shiny golden italic letter by Derek J. Adams. He glanced at another book entitled Deathora Avril. Death of April, Derek’s work as well I presume thought Dr. Ovitz to himself.

“Giselle, Moon can heal a dead person to life and the only way for him to do that is to sacrifice mere quarter of his soul.” explained Dr. Ovitz. He looked at Giselle when he said the last few sentence. “I understand, but as a mother, I can’t see my son, lost his soul. Even a drop of blood would kill poor Moon.” said Giselle, sobbing tremendously on her palms. “Moon has the strength to heal others, he would have the strength to heal himself. He has the abilities to split his soul into 5 elements which no vampires can do and you teach him how to do that. Only he has the abilities to split one part of his soul to Tyler. Tyler will die if we did not act fast.”

Giselle looked up, teary eyed, she said “but…but…”

“Giselle, there is no time.” said Dr. Ovitz.

She looked out at the window. Clouds beginning to form a circle in which Giselle has never seen before. She looked at Dr. Ovitz and back to the clouds.

“I know what I have to do.”

Full Moon Chapter Twelve (Part I)

The skies outside was dark, rainy. The rain came pouring, thumping on the glass. Every inch of the building has creaks all over the place. Everyone was waiting anxiously outside the dark pine wood door. The doctors are inside preparing to make a little surgery. They couldn’t send him to the hospital. He’s a vampire. They couldn’t take the risk. Moon was sitting on the carpeted floor, leaning on the wall, waiting side by side with his sleeping mother at the other side of the wooden door. Moon stared blankly at the door. This can’t be happening thought Moon. The paces got faster in the room; Giselle was awoken by the sudden thump on the ground at the other side of the door.

“How was it? Did the doctors come out yet?” Giselle asked. Everyone shook their head, a sign that says no. Giselle sigh with heaviness in her heart. Moon started to stand up and walk to and fro. All he could hear was the doctors inside, scrambling and talking but he couldn’t make out what they are attempt on doing to save his brother.

The door swung open, Dr. Ovitz came out, followed by the rest of his team of nurses and helpers. “He’s going to be ok.” he said, looking at everyone. “But he needs plenty of rest and human blood to gain his consciousness. His cuts are too deep. The stitches might hold him a couple of years if he sits at home and heal himself.” He continued. “Giselle, I like to speak to you, privately.” Dr. Ovitz said. With a sigh, Giselle followed him in to the study room next to Tyler’s room.

Moon looked at the back of them both going inside the room. Clarisse was standing at the side of the wooden door, staring at Tyler’s body, breathing heavily but still asleep. Moon caught a glimpse of her face when she was leaving, heading towards the stairs to accomplish her daily duty. Her eyes are red, due to the lack of sleep, she looks older. She cried. Moon walked towards the entrance to Tyler’s room. He could hear his brother, suffering from the pain of the stitches. “Thanks, Tyler.” Moon whispered. He started to walk towards his room, when he heard a voice at the back of him. A man’s voice. Familiar.

“Your welcome.”

Tyler…” whispered Moon, looking back at Tyler's room.

Full Moon Chapter Eleven

The dark figure moved towards where Giselle's body lies. He touched Giselle's soft, cold hands. Moon looked at the dark figure with mouth wide opened. "Why...” the figure whispered. He then turns his face towards Moon.

"It's been a long time, Moon." he said while removing his black hood. Moon stood still. His eyes were focusing on the figures facial features. He remembers the golden lock of hair. Short enough to show the face. His eyes, more blue than the color of the sea, a touch of warmth ran through Moons blood. His lips resemble the red rose, soft and supple. Just like his. Moon was too stunned. All he could hear was the beat of his heart and his rapid breathing. He then collapsed to an arm chair near the window. He wipes off his cold sweat with the back of his hands.

"I thought you were dead. I saw it with my own eyes. But how did you...”

“Dad. He saved me.”

“But how...”

“I’ll tell you everything later. For now, we have to save her.”

Tyler pointed at Giselle’s body. Her skin turned most horrifying color. It looks like her life is draining out of her. Moon was shocked. He ran to the side of the bed and shouted, “MOTHER! MOTHER! ” while grabbing both of the side of her arms but all the answer he could get is silence. Silence that filled the air since his mother fell unconsciously to the ground.

“It feels like death.” said Moon, thumped to the floor with his legs wrap up together. “It will be death if we didn’t attempt on saving her. Now gather the black candles next to the drawers.” He points at the drawer behind of Moon’s head. It was a small brown cupboard with weird carving on the side. It has few letters that is carved cursively on to the side of the weird carvings. Moon could not recognize the language. But he knows that the language was used by his great great grandfather’s funeral. He heard his mother chant during the speech giving ceremony. “Now, put those candles in a circular shape. We can’t move her so the candles would be around her bed. Hurry! She can’t make it any longer. I can feel her.” said Tyler, helping Moon to place the candle around the bed, which formed a perfect circle. “Stand back, Moon and please, close your eyes. Do not open your eyes unless I told you so. No matter what you heard or feel. Do not open them ok.” Tyler ordered and Moon nodded.

Moon stared at his mother’s body and also towards his brother who was preparing for the ritual. What is he trying to do? Moon thought while slowly lowering his eyelids. All he could do is just wait. Waiting for things to happen in the darkness beneath his heavy eyelids. He felt tired. Restless. But he couldn’t sleep. No. He must save mother from what ever it is that is holding her from waking up.

All he could feel after shutting his eyes were the winds that blow his dark black streak hair. But he noticed something. He couldn’t hear anything. Only the wind that is pounding. Strong wind that is pushing him towards the chair that he sat earlier. He was very much far away from the spot where he laid the candles for his brother. He wanted to open his eyes, but resist to it. No matter what you heard or feel. Do not open them ok. That is what Tyler said to him. He heard nothing but only the wind that brushed through his skin. Suddenly he heard a scream. A scream that he could recognize it from anywhere. MOTHER! Shouted Moon in his heart. He couldn’t move a muscle. Not a bit. He couldn’t even open his eyes because of the strong wind that is now beating his skin like it’s a force. Then, everything went silent. Silent that can kill a living thing. Silent and only his breathing, rapid heart beat. Tears started to rolled down his cheeks. Even Moon himself doesn’t know why he was shedding tears. He opened his eyes slowly; all he could see was a white blur. He rubbed his eyes to make the image clearer. He saw it. He saw Tyler. Lay sprawled on the floor, blood coming from his wound at the lower part of his abdominal. His mother, Giselle, was crying very hard. Holding on to Tyler’s body.

“Moon! He’s hurt! Help HIM!” shouted Giselle to her son. Moon was frozen solid of what happen. His mother, once beautiful and also fair skinned are no longer all that. Her skinned are scarred with bruises, her hair wasn’t tidy and her eyebrows were bleeding. “But mother, you’re…you’re…bleeding...” Moon stuttered. “Hurry, he’s hurt! Moon! Get help!” shouted Giselle.
