Full Moon Chapter Thirteen (Part 1)

The clock shows 2:41 a.m. Staring emptily towards the curtains, with its drapes dropped down to the floor. He could hear the wind whistling outside the window. He grabs his thick blanket and starts to pull over his head, slowly closing his eyes. Soon, he dozed off..

***

Wind blowing, birds chirping.

He opened his eyes. All he sees was clear blue skies with spring birds flying every where. He slowly looked around for signs of any human. Nothing, he thought to himself.

He placed his hands on the soft grass surface. Wow! The grass is so soft. He thought to himself. He quickly shoved himself up and starts walking. Wind blowing through his thick black hair, the scent of Rosemarie and Thymes filled his nostrils. He kept walking into the distance, without knowing where he would end up. He walk and walk and walk.

In the mere distance ahead of him, a small cottage, in the middle of the green, green field filled with a lot of Rosemarie. He walked through the Rosemarie field and slowly approached the cottage with no hesitation.

Finally he stopped, inches away from the thick wooden door. He looked up, eyes on the chimney. Smokes are coming out of the chimney. “Must be someone living here.” Moon said to himself. He continued walking towards the wooden door. There is no door knob on the wooden door. He gave a little thump on the door. Thump Thump Thump. A girl’s voice, as familiar as it is, shouted “I’m coming. Hold on a minute.” The voice fainted behind the hurried footsteps inside the cottage.

Moon waited in front of the door. Finally, the door opens and reveals a girl. A girl with soft, fair skin, wearing a simple jeans and a white shirt, overlapped with an apron. Fairer than ever, her eyes, a shade of green, her long, waist length hair was a dark shade of green. It’s her! The girl Moon had dreams about. The girl who talked to him in the cemetery. It’s her! “It’s you!” Moon shouted. The girl didn’t say anything but just spread a smile. A smile so beautiful, that Moon melts every time she smiled. “Well, come on in, you wouldn’t want to stuck outside, with the sun out and all.” said the girl. She turned around and walk towards the kitchen. Without hesitation, Moon walked in the little cottage and closes the door behind him.

Full Moon Chapter Twelve (Part 2)

“I can’t do this!” shouted Giselle, slamming on the study table.

“But you have to; it’s the only choice you could make. If you could just..”

“I won’t allow this to happen, Rupert. He’s my son, both of them are my son.” Giselle interrupted.

Giselle start to walks towards the window where she could look out at the dark clouds that are formed all over the skies.

“Giselle, I understand how you feel but the stitches, it wouldn’t last him for 10 years. The impact from the attack hit him hard. Moon has the abilities to heal a dead person. You know it. ” Dr. Ovitz tapped on Giselle’s shoulder.

Giselle did not glance back. She just stared blankly at the dark skies, hoping for the sun to come out. “I’m not a good mother, Rupert. I never was.” She said slowly. “I know what you want to say, Giselle, but you can’t blame yourself. This incident… it isn’t your fault.” Dr. Ovitz guided Giselle to an armchair near the tall shelves of books.

Dr. Ovitz took a glance to a book entitled Memoirs. He scrolled down to see the author’s name. There it is, printed in shiny golden italic letter by Derek J. Adams. He glanced at another book entitled Deathora Avril. Death of April, Derek’s work as well I presume thought Dr. Ovitz to himself.

“Giselle, Moon can heal a dead person to life and the only way for him to do that is to sacrifice mere quarter of his soul.” explained Dr. Ovitz. He looked at Giselle when he said the last few sentence. “I understand, but as a mother, I can’t see my son, lost his soul. Even a drop of blood would kill poor Moon.” said Giselle, sobbing tremendously on her palms. “Moon has the strength to heal others, he would have the strength to heal himself. He has the abilities to split his soul into 5 elements which no vampires can do and you teach him how to do that. Only he has the abilities to split one part of his soul to Tyler. Tyler will die if we did not act fast.”

Giselle looked up, teary eyed, she said “but…but…”

“Giselle, there is no time.” said Dr. Ovitz.

She looked out at the window. Clouds beginning to form a circle in which Giselle has never seen before. She looked at Dr. Ovitz and back to the clouds.

“I know what I have to do.”

Full Moon Chapter Twelve (Part I)

The skies outside was dark, rainy. The rain came pouring, thumping on the glass. Every inch of the building has creaks all over the place. Everyone was waiting anxiously outside the dark pine wood door. The doctors are inside preparing to make a little surgery. They couldn’t send him to the hospital. He’s a vampire. They couldn’t take the risk. Moon was sitting on the carpeted floor, leaning on the wall, waiting side by side with his sleeping mother at the other side of the wooden door. Moon stared blankly at the door. This can’t be happening thought Moon. The paces got faster in the room; Giselle was awoken by the sudden thump on the ground at the other side of the door.

“How was it? Did the doctors come out yet?” Giselle asked. Everyone shook their head, a sign that says no. Giselle sigh with heaviness in her heart. Moon started to stand up and walk to and fro. All he could hear was the doctors inside, scrambling and talking but he couldn’t make out what they are attempt on doing to save his brother.

The door swung open, Dr. Ovitz came out, followed by the rest of his team of nurses and helpers. “He’s going to be ok.” he said, looking at everyone. “But he needs plenty of rest and human blood to gain his consciousness. His cuts are too deep. The stitches might hold him a couple of years if he sits at home and heal himself.” He continued. “Giselle, I like to speak to you, privately.” Dr. Ovitz said. With a sigh, Giselle followed him in to the study room next to Tyler’s room.

Moon looked at the back of them both going inside the room. Clarisse was standing at the side of the wooden door, staring at Tyler’s body, breathing heavily but still asleep. Moon caught a glimpse of her face when she was leaving, heading towards the stairs to accomplish her daily duty. Her eyes are red, due to the lack of sleep, she looks older. She cried. Moon walked towards the entrance to Tyler’s room. He could hear his brother, suffering from the pain of the stitches. “Thanks, Tyler.” Moon whispered. He started to walk towards his room, when he heard a voice at the back of him. A man’s voice. Familiar.

“Your welcome.”

Tyler…” whispered Moon, looking back at Tyler's room.

Full Moon Chapter Eleven

The dark figure moved towards where Giselle's body lies. He touched Giselle's soft, cold hands. Moon looked at the dark figure with mouth wide opened. "Why...” the figure whispered. He then turns his face towards Moon.

"It's been a long time, Moon." he said while removing his black hood. Moon stood still. His eyes were focusing on the figures facial features. He remembers the golden lock of hair. Short enough to show the face. His eyes, more blue than the color of the sea, a touch of warmth ran through Moons blood. His lips resemble the red rose, soft and supple. Just like his. Moon was too stunned. All he could hear was the beat of his heart and his rapid breathing. He then collapsed to an arm chair near the window. He wipes off his cold sweat with the back of his hands.

"I thought you were dead. I saw it with my own eyes. But how did you...”

“Dad. He saved me.”

“But how...”

“I’ll tell you everything later. For now, we have to save her.”

Tyler pointed at Giselle’s body. Her skin turned most horrifying color. It looks like her life is draining out of her. Moon was shocked. He ran to the side of the bed and shouted, “MOTHER! MOTHER! ” while grabbing both of the side of her arms but all the answer he could get is silence. Silence that filled the air since his mother fell unconsciously to the ground.

“It feels like death.” said Moon, thumped to the floor with his legs wrap up together. “It will be death if we didn’t attempt on saving her. Now gather the black candles next to the drawers.” He points at the drawer behind of Moon’s head. It was a small brown cupboard with weird carving on the side. It has few letters that is carved cursively on to the side of the weird carvings. Moon could not recognize the language. But he knows that the language was used by his great great grandfather’s funeral. He heard his mother chant during the speech giving ceremony. “Now, put those candles in a circular shape. We can’t move her so the candles would be around her bed. Hurry! She can’t make it any longer. I can feel her.” said Tyler, helping Moon to place the candle around the bed, which formed a perfect circle. “Stand back, Moon and please, close your eyes. Do not open your eyes unless I told you so. No matter what you heard or feel. Do not open them ok.” Tyler ordered and Moon nodded.

Moon stared at his mother’s body and also towards his brother who was preparing for the ritual. What is he trying to do? Moon thought while slowly lowering his eyelids. All he could do is just wait. Waiting for things to happen in the darkness beneath his heavy eyelids. He felt tired. Restless. But he couldn’t sleep. No. He must save mother from what ever it is that is holding her from waking up.

All he could feel after shutting his eyes were the winds that blow his dark black streak hair. But he noticed something. He couldn’t hear anything. Only the wind that is pounding. Strong wind that is pushing him towards the chair that he sat earlier. He was very much far away from the spot where he laid the candles for his brother. He wanted to open his eyes, but resist to it. No matter what you heard or feel. Do not open them ok. That is what Tyler said to him. He heard nothing but only the wind that brushed through his skin. Suddenly he heard a scream. A scream that he could recognize it from anywhere. MOTHER! Shouted Moon in his heart. He couldn’t move a muscle. Not a bit. He couldn’t even open his eyes because of the strong wind that is now beating his skin like it’s a force. Then, everything went silent. Silent that can kill a living thing. Silent and only his breathing, rapid heart beat. Tears started to rolled down his cheeks. Even Moon himself doesn’t know why he was shedding tears. He opened his eyes slowly; all he could see was a white blur. He rubbed his eyes to make the image clearer. He saw it. He saw Tyler. Lay sprawled on the floor, blood coming from his wound at the lower part of his abdominal. His mother, Giselle, was crying very hard. Holding on to Tyler’s body.

“Moon! He’s hurt! Help HIM!” shouted Giselle to her son. Moon was frozen solid of what happen. His mother, once beautiful and also fair skinned are no longer all that. Her skinned are scarred with bruises, her hair wasn’t tidy and her eyebrows were bleeding. “But mother, you’re…you’re…bleeding...” Moon stuttered. “Hurry, he’s hurt! Moon! Get help!” shouted Giselle.

Full Moon Chapter Ten

*Moon!* (Whispers)

He forced his eyes to open. "Mother.." he whispered. He stood up in the little square cell that he was locked in for the pass 4 hours.
No one at this time will bail me out he thought. He tried to reach in his pockets to get his cellphone but he remembered that the cops has confiscated his things before he was locked in. He walked to and fro in that small lock up cell. He frowns as he was thinking hard. I need to get out of here he thought.

He stared out at the small barred window. There are four rusted bars on the window. Each bar is placed vertically. Outside to the dark sky, the moon is shining brightly. The moonlight hit the tip of Moon's canvas shoe. He looked at the tip of his shoe. "Hmmm.." he whispered while his hands rubbing the tip of his chin.

"Luckily mother thought me this." he said. He placed both of his palms on the window bar. In an instant, the bars melted away like it was not metal at all. He then moved towards the window, looking outside. "I can't fit in this small space now, can I?" said Moon to himself. Suddenly, he heard the doors to the entrance open. It was one of the officers that arrested him. He must act fast.

He then stepped away from the window, moved a few inches away. He could hear the officer's footsteps in a near distance. He is sweating cold sweat as the footsteps got nearer and nearer. He raised both of his arms, with an instant, a white light lit the whole cell. There was a huge gust of wind blew towards the officer, which made him fell down before he could reach the lock up cell. He was shocked. His eyes became a blur. When he finally got up, he ran towards the cell where he locked Moon. His bulging eyes made both of the pupils become red. He was gone. Moon was gone. All it's left was smokes in the center of the room and melted bars.

***

Mother..

Mother..

Mother..

Moon reached toward his mansion. He was running in a hurriedly pace. I gotta see mother! he thought. As he ran towards the main door, he leaped towards the roof, directly in front of his mother's bedroom balcony. He opened the windows to the room. Luckily it wasn't locked he thought.

He slowly walked into the room. There she was sleeping soundly in her bed. Without any movement. The room was too silent for Moon's liking. He walked towards his mother and hold her pale hands. He touched beneath her palms where the pulse are, she is still breathing. Moon give a huge sigh.

But he notice something. Beneath her neck, there is a long red scar. I never notice a scar around her neck before he thought. He touched the scar, it was bleeding fresh red blood. Moon's eyes turns slowly red. Mother..

He try check the pulse again. It was there. The pulse was still there. But how.. He ran towards the bathroom, grab a wet towel and ran back towards his bleeding mother. He wiped off the blood. It revealed a long thin line. It was a deep cut. Enough to take a person's life.

Who has the powers to place a cut in mother's neck?

Who..

A distant laugh is heard. Moon heard it. It was screeching. But it was faded. He couldn't make out who or what made the noise. He just couldn't.

I need to find out who did this and fast.. he thought. Suddenly, the bedroom door flew open. Moon got up as he was kneeling down beside his mother's bed." Who's there!" Moon shouted. A black figure walk towards the entrance. Moon could feel goosebumps all over his body. He was, once, afraid. "Who are you?!" shouted Moon to the black figure.

The answer to his question make Moon's heart leaped a thousand times. He was in utmost shock. "How could it be?" he said.

Full Moon Chapter Nine

Heavy breathing.
People running around to get things done.
I'm here. With my sick mother. Why hasn't mother wake up? She lie on bed for three days now.
I can't lose her. Not now.
Not forever.

Moon was holding on to his mother's hand, thinking of what to do. The breakfast that Clarisse placed on the wooden table was untouched. It was near noon but still no movement from his mother.

He sigh and let go of the cold, fair hands of his mother and walked towards the window, where he can actually see the sunlight.
It's sunny, yet the room felt like death thought Moon. Maybe I've been cooped up in here for too long. I need some air. thought Moon. He walked towards his mother's bed, kissed her on the forehead and head towards his room to get the keys and jacket.

***

Autumn.. where birds fly south for the winter. People busy themselves by scrapping leaves from the ground. The colors, the smell..It's all different..thought Moon. As he drive through the neighborhood, he went pass the Hillside Cemetery, he remembered that night. "Where are you now?" he whispered.

He then drive towards Crowe Street. He stopped his car near a convenient store with the signboard that says "Craps". What a weird name for a store he thought. As he walked in the store, he started to walk around, finding. What am I finding? he thought. He just walk around the store hoping to find something to buy. He notice the store manager, Indian guy with thick eye brows and a wired smile spread accross his face was looking at him as if he is a beast. In fact, I am one thought Moon. He hurriedly opened the freezer door next to the candy shelf and took a bottle of Heineken while closing the freezer door behind him, not noticing a bar of candy had fallen into his pockets. He then went over the counter, paid for his drink and started to walk towards the entrance.

"Xcuse me, sir. I think you took something and you did not pay for it." said the manager, with a heavy Indian accent.

"I paid for this." Moon then showed him the Heineken bottle.

"Not this sir, the one in your pocket, sir." he said, pointing towards Moon's leather jacket.

"I did ot take anything." said Moon while searching the pockets to proof he is innocent.

There it was. The candy bar. In his pocket. He was shocked.

"I did not took this!" shouted Moon.

"I would like you to follow me to the Police Station." said the Indian Man.

"Noo! I'm innocent!" shouted Moon.

"Sir! Don't run, police is own their way." said the man.

Siren from afar could be heard in the distance. The blue and red light of the police car could be seen. The Indian Man grab hold of Moon. Moon struggle to let go. Soon, the police arrived and hand cuffed Moon. He was then drag to the police vehicle. "Nooo! I did not do it! Noo!!!" shouted Moon. His voice no longer could be heard over the roar of the police siren.

***

"Poor Moon, you see, Giselle. Your son is in deep trouble." said Lysette, looking through the oval shape mirror. Giselle was crying. Her eyes are fill with tears of hatred. The hatred she had felt for more than 500 years.

"Why are you doing this Lysette! Why!" shouted Giselle.

"Why? Easy.." she slowed down and walked towards Giselle, grab on to her fair neck, took her sharp nails, cut deeply through Giselle's neck and said

"Revenge!"

Full Moon Chapter Eight (Flash Back)

The year was 1508.

London. Where I was truly born..

The year where people are living in the world with fear and hatred. To me, I was not keen on humans either. Until I met him. Derek was one of a kind. He is a mortal. His job. A vampire hunter. Mother was not happy with my decision when I told her that I fell in love with a human. More or less, a Vampire Hunter. I was not happy either when Mother try to banish me from the Family. My families come from a line of pure blooded vampire. Just like me, Mother fell in love with a human and gave birth to me. She despise me because Father left her. She killed him with her bare hands. Her fangs dug deep into Father's neck, deeper and deeper until Father could no longer breathe. I hate Mother since then. I disobey her more and more. My life is never better. It was Derek. Derek gave me life, a SOUL. It was all too perfect until..

***

"Moon, Tyler..Mommy is going out for a while. You two have to behave yourselves, and promise me not to step outside this door." Giselle pointed to the wooden door. Both Tyler and Moon looked where their mother pointed. They then nodded in understanding and hugs their mommy before she went off. Giselle kisses them goodnight and left them in the small wooden house.

***

Derek, please be ok thought Giselle. As she swept though the evening sky, the cold snowy air hit her face. Strong gust of winds blew her long black hair. She swarm through trees after trees in search of her love. Her Derek.

She spotted a tiny light below the surface of the cold frozen solid pond She immediately swept downwards and land on the dark trees near the pond. A figure, with long dark shade green hair, fair skin and a long black dress, standing in the middle of the pond. She was holding something. Something bloody. Giselle gasped. "No!!!" Giselle whispered. Derek. Derek's head.

"Hello, Giselle."

A gust of strong wind blew away the trees and reveal Giselle. Giselle was ready to attack. With teary eyes focusing on the torn head.

"Oh. This?" she held up the head as the cold wind grew stronger. "I was thinking you would like a present when we met." She then threw the head close enough to let Giselle see clearly. It was not Derek.

"You think it was your sweet sweet Derek, didn't you?"

"Where's Derek!"

"Don't talk to me in that tone. I wasn't keen on having him near me. It's filthy."

"Where is HE!"

"Giselle, you're starting to make me angry."

Giselle swept towards the figure. She landed with a thud. She's gone. How could it be? thought Giselle. Something flew above her head. Giselle leaped away on the spot and the figure landed with a crack. The crash created a crack on the surface of the pond. But that is the least to worry. Giselle had her eye on the figure that is lying on the surface.

"Giselle, help me.. I broke my neck.." said the figure in black.

"Stand up, Lysette! I know you are faking it." shouted Giselle.

Lysette stood up. Indeed. Her neck is broken. Her head tipped at the side. "You are supposed to help me, Giselle." said Lysette through gritting teeth. She placed both of her hands towards her head and tipped the head to both sides. Each turn there's a crack of the bones on her neck. "Now, That's better." she said with a smile.

"Where's is DEREK!" shouted Giselle, wiping the tears away from her eyes.

"Tsk Tsk Tsk. You shouldn't have. You are not supposed to think about your human when you are battling!"

Lysette lifted both of her hands and took up all the trees around Giselle with an invisible force. She then throw the trees towards Giselle. Giselle swooped sideways, and run with incredible speed to attack Lysette. Her powers had had a very big impact on Lysette.

Her body lay close to the solid stiff iced ground. The cracks begun to grew. At an instant, the whole pond broke. Iced floating everywhere. Lysette's body, not breathing nor moving a muscle, sank down with the pond where she lay.
